The newsroom was alive with its usual chaos, but Aarvi was deep in thought, flipping through her notes from the hospital event.
Sameer stretched in his chair, eyeing her with amusement. โIโve never seen you so focused before. Whatโs running through that head of yours?โ
Aarvi sighed, tapping her pen against her notepad. โItโs Aaksh. Something about him feelsโฆ staged. Like heโs answering just enough to satisfy curiosity but not enough to reveal anything real.โ
Sameer leaned in. โWe have a whole week to figure him out. Letโs not rush. First, we earn his trustโmake him feel comfortable. Then, when he least expects it, we strike.โ
Aarvi smirked. โSounds like a plan.โ
and in between an office assistant walked over and placed a bouquet of red roses on her desk.
She frowned. โWhatโs this?โ
Sameer smirked. โLooks like you have a secret admirer.โ
Right then, another bouquet of flowers landed on her desk.
She groaned. โAgain?โ
Sameer grinned. โYou sure you donโt have a secret admirer?โ
Aarvi barely glanced at the card. No name. No clues.
Sameer nudged her. โWho do you think sent it?โ
Aarvi rolled her eyes. โI donโt have time to play guessing games.โ
Sameer laughed. โCome on, Aarvi. Maybe itโs someone from our team?โ
โWhoever it is, theyโre wasting their time.โ Aarvi pushed the bouquet aside and got back to her notes. She wasnโt in the mood for distractions.

At Kritikaโs boutique, a client was struggling to choose between two dresses.
โThis one is elegant, but that one is bolder,โ Kritika suggested, her patience wearing thin.
Later that evening, she called Aarvi.
Kritika: โI swear, the biggest mystery in my life is whether a client will pick a dress in ten minutes or ten hours.โ
Aarvi chuckled. โWelcome to the thrilling world of fashion.โ
Kritika smirked. โAnd what about you? Any updates on your mystery?โ
Aarvi sighed. โIf you mean the flowers, no. And I honestly donโt care.โ
Kritika rolled her eyes. โYouโre impossible.โ

Vidyut walked into Reyanshโs office, noticing that his attention was glued to his phone.
โYouโre still watching Aaksh, arenโt you?โ
Reyansh nodded. โAnd now, Iโm watching whoโs watching him.โ
Vidyut frowned. โWhat do you mean?โ
Reyansh leaned back. โInsight 24/7 got the last interview slot. That meansโฆ theyโll dig deeper than anyone else. We should be paying attention to them too.โ
Vidyut was quiet for a moment before nodding. โFine. Iโll keep an eye on them.โ

Aakshโs office was sleek, designed to impress. The moment he saw Aarvi and Sameer enter, he greeted them with a confident smile.
โI hope youโre ready,โ he said, settling into his chair.
Aarvi smiled back. โAbsolutely.โ
The first two days of interviews were light, almost casual.
Aarvi: "So, tell meโฆ growing up, did you always want to be a businessman?"
Aaksh chuckled. โNot at all. As a kid, I actually wanted to be a cricketer.โ
Sameer: โThatโs unexpected. What changed?โ
Aaksh smirked. โReality. Cricket was a dream, but business was in my blood.โ
Aarvi: "And what about your personal life? Any hobbies outside of work?"
Aaksh leaned back. โI enjoy reading. Traveling. And of course, a good game of poker now and then.โ
Reyansh looked out of the tinted windows of his SUV, which was parked outside. He wasnโt expecting anything unusualโuntil his gaze landed on two people walking out of the building.
They were casually talking, heading toward their car.
Reyansh wasnโt close enough to see their faces clearly, but he could hear bits of their conversation.
Sameer: โSo, whatโs your gut feeling about him?โ
Aarvi: โI donโt know yetโฆ but something doesnโt feel right.โ
She hesitated before adding, "Maybe heโs hiding something."
Reyanshโs eyes slightly narrowed.
He had been keeping an eye on Aaksh. Now, this reporter had his attention too.

The atmosphere was different todayโquieter, more intense. No crowd. Just Aarvi, Sameer, and Aaksh in a private setting.
Dev was also there, assisting with arrangements, though his attention kept drifting toward Aarvi.
By the third day, Aarvi and Sameer subtly started tightening the net.
Sameer jumped in, โLetโs start with the beginning. Your past investmentsโthereโs very little information about them. Why is that?โ
Aakshโs expression didnโt falter. โI prefer keeping my personal financial records private.โ
Aarvi leaned forward slightly, her tone soft but her words sharp. โYet, every other major businessmanโs past records are accessible. What makes you different?โ
Aakshโs smirk tightened just a little. โI guess I just like my privacy.โ
Dev, standing behind, felt his jaw tighten. Why did Aakshโs gaze on Aarvi irritate him so much?
Sameer: "Your first big investment was at 22, right? What drew you to that particular deal?"
Aakshโs smile didnโt falter, but there was a brief pause before he answered. โIt was a calculated risk. And it paid off.โ
Aarvi: "Some of your early business records arenโt publicly available. Why is that?"
Aakshโs gaze sharpened slightly. โNot everything needs to be public, does it?โ
Sameer and Aarvi exchanged a glance.
They had him exactly where they wanted.

That evening, Reyansh sat in his black SUV, parked outside Aakshโs office.
From where he sat, he saw Aarvi and Sameer leaving, casually discussing the interview.
Aarvi: โHeโs good. He knows how to talk his way out of anything.โ
Sameer: โYeah, but not forever. Sooner or later, heโll slip.โ
Reyansh smirked. Interesting.
Will Aarvi and Sameer uncover Aaksh's secrets? Or will Reyansh stop them? Only time will tell.
