The newsroom was buzzing with energy as deadlines loomed over Insight 24/7. Aarvi, however, had something else on her mind. she was thinking about yesterday, during Akash's interview, she had noticed something off. Sameer had left early, and she had stayed back under the pretense of having some personal work nearby. In reality, her instincts told her something was hidden within Akash's office, something that could change everything. Her fingers clutched the file she had found in a dimly lit roomโ€”one that looked like a storage unit rather than an office space. It was purely by accident that she had stumbled upon it while trying to explore more about Akash's sudden interest in the healthcare industry. But the moment she laid eyes on it, she knew she had discovered something important.

Later that day, Aarvi walked into the editing room to check the footage from the opening event.

Dev was there, organizing files on his laptop. The moment he saw Aarvi, he straightened up, his nervousness evident.

โ€œUhโ€ฆ hey,โ€ Dev greeted, his voice softer than usual.

Aarvi barely looked up. โ€œHey.โ€

There was an awkward silence. Dev wanted to say something, but Aarvi was too focused on her work to notice his hesitation.

After a moment, Dev finally spoke, โ€œSoโ€ฆ um, are you ready for the one-on-one interview?โ€

Aarvi nodded without looking at him. โ€œYeah. Just finalizing the questions.โ€

Dev hesitated before smiling slightly. โ€œYouโ€™re really good at what you do, you know. I admire that.โ€

Aarvi glanced at him briefly but didnโ€™t react much. โ€œThanks.โ€

Another silence.

Seeing that Aarvi wasnโ€™t interested in small talk, Dev cleared his throat. โ€œOkayโ€ฆ Iโ€™ll let you get back to work.โ€

Aarvi simply nodded, not thinking much of the conversation.

As she left, Dev sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. She really doesnโ€™t notice anything, does she?

Aarvi snuck into Aakash's office, her eyes scanning the room for any signs of life. She slipped into a smaller room, filled with rows of files and a bank of monitors recording camera footage.

Her eyes landed on a dusty file cabinet, seemingly unused. She pushed it open, and a file labeled "Accident" slipped out, its pages yellowed with age.

As she opened the file, papers spilled out, and the sound echoed through the silent office. Suddenly, the security guard appeared, his flashlight beam dancing across the room.

"Who's there?" he called out, his voice firm.

The guard is standing there and Aarvi tries to go behind him but as the guard looks to the other side he sees her and he wonders who it is and when he see someone the guard shouted "who is there", and he ran after her

Aarvi darted out of the room and starts running away, the guard hot on her heels. But she had covered her face, making it impossible for him to identify her.

As she fled, she clutched a handful of papers from the file, unsure what they meant. But she knew she had to get out, fast.

"Stop!" the guard yelled, but Aarvi was already gone, vanished into the night.

Aarvi's heartbeat had increased. A part of the file was in his hand, but she still did not know the whole truth.

But then the praise for Peech's step grew louder.

"If they catch me I won't be able to find the truth"

Without thinking she turned towards an alley, but a car stopped in front.

Aarvi suddenly stopped, maybe someone else has come her way.

But then the car door opens and a strong hand catches her wrist.

Before she could react, Man used a jerk to pull the door of his car. As soon as he pulled her, she fell on him and he drove the car and the aarvi was on top of him. They both were looking at each other.

Reyansh hadnโ€™t expected the night to take such a turn. He had been keeping an eye on Akash's company for different reasons, but the sight of someone fleeing from the building caught his attention. He didnโ€™t know why, but there was something about the way the figure movedโ€”cautious yet desperateโ€”that made him follow.

At first Reyansh did not pay attention, but when his face came under the streetlight for a second, his brain immediately became alert.

"This is the journalist who is covering Aaksh's storyโ€ฆAarvi?"

Before he could think anything else, another man was also running awayโ€”probably security guards.

What did this girl do that security is running after her?

Reyansh opens his car door without thinking and starts the engine. His instinct was to say only one thingโ€”this must be saved!

And then he suddenly stopped the car in front of her and pulled her in, he hit the accelerator, the car speeding away just as two men appeared behind them, trying to chase on foot.

โ€œWho are you?โ€ she finally found her voice, her fingers still gripping her collar as if bracing for impact.

โ€œThe one who just saved your life,โ€ Reyansh said, his eyes fixed on the road, dodging through the empty streets. โ€œNow, unless youโ€™d rather be caught by those men, Iโ€™d suggest you sit still.โ€

So Aarvi moved away from him and sat straight on the seat.

Aarviโ€™s mind was spinning. Why was he here? How did he recognize her? And why did she feel a strange sense of security with him, despite the circumstances?

The car ride was silent except for the sound of the engine roaring beneath them. Aarvi could feel Reyanshโ€™s gaze flicker toward her, analyzing her every move. She kept her arms crossed, the file papers hidden under her coat.

"You're hiding something," Reyansh finally said, his voice quieter this time.

Aarvi shot him a glare. "And you're way too interested for someone who claims not to care."

Reyansh smirked but didnโ€™t reply. Instead, he pressed down on the accelerator, the city lights reflecting in his sharp eyes.

As they sped through the streets, Aarvi suddenly felt dizzy and disoriented. She tried to grab onto something, but her hands were shaking. Before she could fall, Reyansh caught her he stopped the car at her time, his arms wrapping around her waist.

Aarvi's eyes met Reyansh's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. Aarvi's heart was racing, and she could feel Reyansh's warmth radiating towards her.

Reyansh's eyes narrowed, his gaze intense. "What's wrong?" he asked, his voice low and husky.

Aarvi tried to speak, but her voice was barely above a whisper. "I... I don't know."

Reyansh's arms tightened around her, pulling her closer. "You're safe now," he whispered, his breath hot against her ear.

Aarvi felt a shiver run down her spine as Reyansh's words sent a wave of calm over her. She looked up at him, her eyes locking with his.

For a moment, they just stared at each other, the tension between them palpable.

"Who are you?" Aarvi asked, her voice a little stronger now.

Reyansh's gaze didn't waver. "Someone who's trying to help you."

Aarvi's eyes narrowed. "Why? What do you want from me?"

Reyansh's smile was enigmatic. "Let's just say I have my reasons."

Aarvi's mind was racing with questions, but before she could ask any more, Reyansh's phone rang, breaking the silence. So they both moved away from each other

Reyansh answered the call, his voice low and curt. Aarvi couldn't help but wonder who was on the other end of the line.

As Reyansh spoke, his eyes never left Aarvi's face, and she felt a shiver run down her spine. She was trapped in this car with a stranger, and she had no idea what his true intentions were.

put the phone back on the dashboard and turned to Aarvi. "We're leaving," he said, putting the car in reverse.

Aarvi looked at him with a mixture of confusion and fear. "Where are we going?" she asked.

Reyansh gave her a reassuring smile. "Somewhere safe."

Aarvi's eyes narrowed. "I don't trust you."

Reyansh's smile faltered for a moment, but he quickly regained his composure. "You have to trust me," he said, putting the car in gear and driving forward.

Aarvi shook her head. "No, I don't. Just drop me off here."

Reyansh raised an eyebrow. "You can't just get out here. It's not safe."

Aarvi's voice was firm. "I'd rather take my chances than go with you."

"And by the way How can I trust you when I don't even know you?" Aarvi asked, her eyes narrowing slightly as she waited for Reyansh's response.

Reyansh's gaze lingered on her, his expression unreadable.

Reyansh's eyes flashed with anger, but he kept his cool. "Fine," he said, pulling over to the side of the road. "But you're making a big mistake."

Aarvi opened the door and got out, looking around nervously. Reyansh watched her for a moment, then put the car in gear and drove off.

As Aarvi walked, she couldn't shake off the feeling that someone was following her. She quickened her pace, her heart racing with every step.

Is this the same person who was following Aarvi for so long and where was he and how did he return today?
